There are many types of mattresses available online but to find the right one for you, first determine your sleep style. Your new mattress will be more comfortable if it’s designed with a particular set of sleep needs in mind and knowing your sleep style will ease your mattress search. Are you a side sleeper, back sleeper, tummy, or combi-sleeper?
The Nolah Signature 12 is made with AirFoam™, a proprietary and revolutionary mattress material not found anywhere else. AirFoam™ is suitable for all sleep styles but is particularly suited to side sleepers. As a side sleeper, the sensitive areas of hips and shoulders are most vulnerable, therefore, they require more targeted support.
Choosing a mattress that is customized to your personal sleep needs guarantees far greater comfort and enhances sleep health better than a ‘ready-made’ mattress. The DreamCloud mattress is made to accommodate all sleep styles, therefore, it will not offer the same targeted support of AirFoam™.
When you buy locally made products, you’re saluting your community and helping to keep a healthy local economy. Shopping ethically for your new mattress is thankfully easier than ever. So you can help sustain local businesses in the process.
The Nolah Signature 12 is 100% American made. All the materials used in their mattresses, foam, and cover are 100% made and assembled in the U.S.A. The DreamCloud mattress is made in China and shipped from its fulfilment center in Washington state.

The Nolah Signature 12 is made of an innovative new AirFoam™. This pneumatic (air-filled) foam is made under high pressure and then crushed mechanically to blast billions of microscopic air pockets inside the foam, hence the name, AirFoam™. The billions of tiny air pockets act as individual shock absorbers creating truly personalized sleep comfort. This 4-layer, double-sided mattress is 2 mattresses in 1. The firm side is a 1 inch layer of the firm and cooling Nolah AirFoam™, topped with 7 inches of reinforced high-density foundation foam, topped with 1.5 inches of deep supportive high-resilience foam, the top layer is 2.5 inches of cooling Nolah AirFoam™.
The Signature 12 mattress sleeps cooler than pocketed coils and memory foam because it’s 100% temperature neutral. The Nolah Signature 12 provides superior pressure relief, is more cooling and offers greater support than the regular coil and foam mattresses.
The DreamCloud mattress is 15-inches tall and is a 4-layered construction of foundation layer, pocketed coils, polyfoam, and gel-infused memory foam. Mattresses made from coils and memory foam are often not as supportive as AirFoam™.
Memory foam mattresses are known to retain body heat and create deep sinkage into the mattress. Therefore, if you need support in the hips and shoulder areas, a coil and memory foam mattress may not be the best option for your needs. Modern mattress material (such as AirFoam™) ensure a more supportive sleep because it’s designed and produced using modern sleep science manufacturing techniques. AirFoam™ guarantees its level of firmness for the duration of the mattress lifespan.

The Signature 12 (and Original 10) are bespoke mattresses. Your Nolah mattress only goes into production within 3 days of ordering so you get a mattress that is specially made for you.
The Nolah Signature 12 leaves the U.S. factory within 3-5 business days of ordering and will reach you within 5-10 days in total. Other brands mass produce their products before being shipped to their stores and retail partners. This means that your mattress could sit in a store for weeks and months before being purchased. Nolah brings a fresh mattress straight to your door without the middlemen and high pressure of the salesroom floor.
Nolah offers a 120-night trial. A free trial is vital when buying a mattress online. Experiencing your new mattress in your own home for a minimum of 100-nights will ensure you’re making the right decision for your sleep needs. In the unlikely event you find your Nolah is not for you, it will be picked up at no cost to you (just make sure you start the return process within the 120-night trial period) The returned mattress will be recycled where possible. DreamCloud offers a 365-Night trial with free return.

Your Nolah Signature 12 mattress has 2 levels of firmness to choose from because this double-sided mattress has a soft side and a firm side. A flippable mattress means you can change your mind on the firmness level more easily than shopping for a new mattress. Simply take the covers off, flip it over, and relax (or flip it over again because the first side is just too comfy) Nolah AirFoam™ guarantees the firmness levels for the duration of the mattress lifespan as it’s made from AirFoam™, an innovative new mattress material that breathes and supports the back, hips, and shoulder areas.
Pocket coil and memory foam mattresses are often not as supportive as AirFoam™. Since AirFoam™ is a unique and modern material, the firmness level of your AirFoam™ mattress is more dependable for the mattress lifespan.

Nolah AirFoam™ mattresses are made specifically for side sleepers because it’s designed to support not just every muscle but the sensitive hip and shoulder areas with its 2 layers of soft and firm AirFoam™. Although the Signature 12 provides superb support and comfort for all sleepers, it's extremely well-suited for side sleepers where the hips and shoulders are the most sensitive areas.
The DreamCloud mattress is made to suit all kinds of sleepers, therefore, it will not offer the same targeted support of AirFoam™. If you take great care of your health by eating well and exercising regularly, an AirFoam™ mattress could supplement your healthy lifestyle by improving your sleep health.
Check out Nolah’s Guide to Sleeping Positions and Guide to Side Sleeping.
The Nolah Signature 12 mattress provides 4 times greater pressure relief than memory foam. Muscles and joints receive far greater support which benefits your quality of sleep and could also benefit your health. Nolah conducted heat-mapping tests to prove this which can be found on their website.
The Nolah Signature 12 is made from a breathable AirFoam™ that is a modern material made without heat-trapping viscoelastic memory foam chemicals. The breathable AirFoam™ does not absorb or store heat and ensure a cooling sleep experience for the duration of the mattress lifespan.
Nolah’s Signature 12 proved to be a 300% more durable than high-priced memory foam mattresses and 26 times more durable than their cheaper counterparts. Throughout a 100,000 cycles durability test, Nolah AirFoam™ loses a mere 0.03 of an inch.
The DreamCloud mattress and Nolah Signature 12 mattress are both odorless and CertiPUR-US® certified. Although when removed from the box, allow them to breathe for a few minutes to off-gas. This is perfectly harmless, it simply means to briefly air-out after being released from the air-tight box. The new mattress smell will dissipate within 24-hours.
Nolah and DreamCloud are well known and respected mattress companies so you should expect a high level of customer care from both. Two great concerns for customers when mattress shopping are; ‘How long will my mattress last?’ And ‘Am I getting the best deal on this mattress?’.
The Nolah Signature 12 mattress is reasonably priced because there are no huge showrooms or pushy sales staff to sustain. Nolah’s mattress comes directly from their American factories to your door and 100% free from memory foam, designed to offer extraordinary support and comfort to side sleepers.
Nolah mattresses are made of 100% American materials in their U.S. factories and are made to order. Pocket coil and memory foam mattresses are not the best investment for sleep health as they may not be as comfortable as AirFoam™ or supportive of the sensitive hip and shoulder areas.
The DreamCloud mattress is designed to suit every type of sleeper and the non-American production may be off-putting to some. Mattress shopping online doesn't need to be a difficult and time-consuming task. Allow this comparison of the DreamCloud mattress and Nolah Signature 12 mattress to help you make an informed decision as you shop for a comfortable new mattress.
