How to Move a Bear Mattress / Purple Mattress / Nolah Mattress

Moving into a new home is an exciting time; new neighborhood, new cafes, new parks, new people. It’s a fun-filled time until you think about packing and moving! When it comes to your mattress, you may want to consider if it’s worth bringing your current mattress if it’s old and uncomfortable. Also, depending on the size and weight of the mattress it may be too heavy to move (alone at least).

You could have a brand new mattress from Bear, Purple, or Nolah delivered straight to your new address. However, if you’re keen on bringing your current mattress with you, source a vehicle that’s big enough to transport it, you don’t want to strap it to the top of a car! A moving van or truck is ideal.

Prepare some packaging materials because moving trucks and vans are often dirty, you don’t want your bed getting all covered in dust and dirt. Cover the mattress before moving with mattress bag or painter’s plastic, and secure with straps or strong tape.

Moving your Bear, Purple, or Nolah mattress is easy. When lifting the mattress, bend your knees slightly, keep the mattress close to your body, and feel the weight on your legs and not your back.
