Father’s Day is right around the corner. In just four days (Sunday, June 19 for those of you not tracking), fathers, mothers, and children take the day to celebrate what an awesome man Dad is. There are many different things people do to celebrate Dad, but in true Nolah fashion, we’re here to share a few of our favorite wilderness adventures to take with our dads. Since it’s coming up so quickly, we’ll give you the adventures that can be done just about anywhere without too much planning.
Wilderness Adventures To Do With Dad
Host A Backyard Game Day
Do you have a sweet backyard? Even if you have a small amount of space or want to go to the park down the street, taking your dad out for a game day will have everyone laughing, playing, and loving life. Play horseshoes, ladder golf, or cornhole. Fly a kite or launch some bottle rockets. #FuelYourDay with a grilled picnic lunch and dad’s favorite drink.
Golfing is a hit or miss activity for all dads. Some dads love to head to the course to hit 18 rounds of golf, while other dads prefer to stay at the driving range where it’s okay to miss the ball every other swing.
Run A Race
Many towns hold races to celebrate dads. Whether it’s a 5K in the neighborhood, a marathon across the town, or a virtual race of any distance in any location, Dad will love to have some healthy family time.
