The Best Tip That Makes Waking Up Easier

Train Your Circadian Rhythm

The circadian rhythm is your body’s natural clock; it is what determines whether you feel awake or sleepy. When you sync your circadian rhythm with your work schedule, you’ll wake up naturally, without the need to use a blaring alarm.

Start by determining how many hours of sleep your body needs each night. Most people need between seven and nine hours per night.

Count back that number of hours from when you need to be awake; this is when you need to go to bed for your circadian clock to work best. For example, if you need to be awake by 6:00 in the morning and need eight hours of sleep, be in bed by 10:00 p.m.

Do you usually go to sleep at 11:00? In order to help your body transition to the 10:00 bedtime, don’t go cold turkey. Instead, move your bedtime back 15 minutes each week. This will help you use your natural tiredness to fall asleep at the proper time.

Hopefully you’ll notice yourself start to wake up a few minutes before your alarm clock, meaning your body is naturally done sleeping, and you are ready to rock and roll through the day!
